Hanan Ahmed is a Graduate Research Assistant in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. His work centers on the behavior and performance of rigid pavements, with particular interest in how environmental loading—such as temperature variations, moisture changes, and resulting slab movements—affects pavement durability and serviceability. His research includes studying pavement–subgrade interaction and using analytical and numerical methods to better understand and predict the long-term performance of rigid pavement systems.
