Balaji Lakkimsetti, Ph.D.

Balaji Lakkimsetti joined as a Postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Civil Engineering at Texas A&M University from January, 2025. Prior to this he worked as a Research Associate at IISc Bangalore, India, for almost an year. He received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from IISc Bangalore in 2024. His doctoral research mainly focused on understanding the morphological perspectives of sand liquefaction and its mitigation using geosynthetic and natural materials. He also has experience on stabilizing soft clays using waste materials. His research interest lies in geosynthetics, soil dynamics, liquefaction, ground improvement, sustainable geotechnics, and experimental characterization of geomaterials.
