Ahmad is a second-year doctoral student in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Michigan State University. He earned a Master of Science in Civil and Infrastructure Engineering from Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi in the Spring of 2023 and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (with a concentration in construction management) from Yarmouk University in Jordan in 2020. He is working on a project to evaluate different pavement subsurface drainage systems in collaboration with Minnesota DOT. Also, he is working on other projects, such as the life cycle assessment of Vegetated Earthen Berms (VEBs) constructed with Dredged Materials (DMs) from Baltimore Harbor. His research interests are sustainability assessment and sustainable solutions for transportation infrastructure.
